As soon as a teacher/administrator registers a class and its pupils, the pupils can register using their names and password and then write stories. The Save button is located at the very bottom of each page.

New stories

Authors can begin a new story here.

Edit

Authors can edit - even later - their own stories and paths here.

New chapter

A new chapter is added to the text. At the end of each chapter new paths can be inserted, voting can be generated or comments about the chapter can be added.

Delete

The administrator has the option of deleting a story. All of the comments and votes associated with it will also be removed.

Voting

Here, the authors can generate voting with regard to their story/path.

Vote

Here, the authors can vote on how a story/path should continue. Only one vote can be made in each case!

Voting results

Here, the authors can view the results of the vote.

New path

Here, the authors can continue writing an existing story or give it their own twist.

Comments

Here, the authors can write comments about the stories/paths or view or delete the comments to their own stories/paths.

Logout

Use the Home-Button.

Ideas

The ideas are meant to be suggestions. They are deliberately only segments of text. They should help the writers to overcome creative blocks. As an administrator, you can also enter new ideas yourself. That way, the pool of ideas grows over time.

Administrator

Teaching staff should use the Admin button when logging in.

Before your pupils can use Netstories, you must first register your school (if it is not already registered), your class and the individual pupils.

Note! The same password is used by the entire school. If, for instance, a teacher at your school has already registered the school, you will have to ask that teacher for the password. If you've misplaced or forgotten the password, you can request it from Franziska Kundert or register your school again under a different name.

As an administrator, you are also able to call up and edit the entire set of stories and story fragments belonging to a pupil in your class. You can highlight incorrect sections of text (by underling them or placing them in italics) and write comments about the texts.
